This morning we were looking for something to pass away the time before swimming lessons, and I decided to test out The Dressing Game, which was featured in our June/July 2010 feature "Independence For All." I went to the website, and clicked Online Extras, found the article and downloaded the cards for the game (CLICK HERE).
I went in my dresser and got some of my shirts, my husband's shorts, some shoes, hats, necklaces...anything I could fine. I put them all in one big pile in the living room and had the kids sit next to it. They took turn drawing the cards, and then finding an appropriate piece of clothing to put on. For instance, when they picked the "Head" card, they found hats. I think my favorite was watching Travis try to put on daddy's shorts. It was too funny.
Not only was it perfect practice for Travis (who has CP and needs all the dressing practice he can find) but my 2-1/2 year old Emily loved it too. They were too cute at the end in their outfits. Take a look...
